A client of ours within the Insurance sector is looking for a highly skilled and detail-oriented Internal/ Key Account Broker to manage a portfolio of existing clients.
Location:
Umhlanga, Kwa Zulu Natal
Requirements:
- Matric (Grade 12) certificate
- RE5 certificate
- NQF Level 4 qualification in financial services
- Minimum of 2 years underwriting experience
- Experience in both personal and commercial lines underwriting
Responsibilities:
- Manage a portfolio of existing clients through proactive underwriting and administrative support
- Maintain proactive communication with clients to understand their insurance needs and provide appropriate solutions
- Monitor and manage unpaid premiums, ensuring timely follow-ups and resolutions
- Liaise with clients and insurers to resolve outstanding payment issues
- Proactively manage policy renewals processes, ensuring policies are reviewed, updated, and renewed in a timely manner
- Prepare and present renewal terms and alternatives, conducting risk assessments and portfolio reviews
- Implement effective client retention strategies, reducing lapse rates and maintaining portfolio value
- Process policy endorsements efficiently and accurately, including changes in cover asset details. or client information
- Maintain precise records and ensure compliance with underwriting guidelines
- Provide competitive quotes for new business opportunities within the existing portfolio
- Source and compare quotes from multiple insurance providers (re-broking) when necessary to ensure optimal cover and pricing
- Daily client engagement via Zoom or telephonic consultation to discuss policy details, renewals, endorsements, and cover adjustments
- Manage policy cancellations, including conducting exit interviews and offering retention solutions where necessary
- Coordinate tracking device installations for vehicle insurance requirements
- Process refunds promptly and accurately, in line with company and insurer guidelines
- Maintain compliance with all legislative and regulatory requirements
