A client of ours within the Insurance sector is looking for a highly skilled and detail-oriented Internal/ Key Account Broker to manage a portfolio of existing clients.

Umhlanga, Kwa Zulu Natal


Requirements:
  • Matric (Grade 12) certificate
  • RE5 certificate
  • NQF Level 4 qualification in financial services
  • Minimum of 2 years underwriting experience
  • Experience in both personal and commercial lines underwriting

Responsibilities:
  • Manage a portfolio of existing clients through proactive underwriting and administrative support
  • Maintain proactive communication with clients to understand their insurance needs and provide appropriate solutions
  • Monitor and manage unpaid premiums, ensuring timely follow-ups and resolutions
  • Liaise with clients and insurers to resolve outstanding payment issues
  • Proactively manage policy renewals processes, ensuring policies are reviewed, updated, and renewed in a timely manner
  • Prepare and present renewal terms and alternatives, conducting risk assessments and portfolio reviews
  • Implement effective client retention strategies, reducing lapse rates and maintaining portfolio value
  • Process policy endorsements efficiently and accurately, including changes in cover asset details. or client information
  • Maintain precise records and ensure compliance with underwriting guidelines
  • Provide competitive quotes for new business opportunities within the existing portfolio
  • Source and compare quotes from multiple insurance providers (re-broking) when necessary to ensure optimal cover and pricing
  • Daily client engagement via Zoom or telephonic consultation to discuss policy details, renewals, endorsements, and cover adjustments
  • Manage policy cancellations, including conducting exit interviews and offering retention solutions where necessary
  • Coordinate tracking device installations for vehicle insurance requirements
  • Process refunds promptly and accurately, in line with company and insurer guidelines
  • Maintain compliance with all legislative and regulatory requirements
