POSITION:
Clinical Nurse (RN or LPN)

REPORTS TO: Physician / Clinical Manager

LICENSE

REQUIRED:

Active RN or LPN license in the state of Ohio

• Prepare and open/close exam and treatment rooms daily based on physician preferences.
• Assist with insurance preauthorizations and communicate updates to patients.
• Escort patients to exam rooms and obtain vital signs, brief history, medication updates, and chief complaint.
• Prepare rooms for scheduled procedures and anticipate physician needs for unscheduled procedures.
• Assist physicians with biopsies, excisions, and select surgical procedures.
• Schedule surgeries and prepare comprehensive insurance and surgery packets.
• Complete disability forms within required timelines.
• Maintain daily logs; track supply and medication expiration dates.
• Order and restock supplies and medications; verify all incoming deliveries.
• Prepare specimens for lab pickup and complete associated documentation.
• Deliver patient education after physician consultation, ensuring full understanding of treatment plans and medications.
• Clean and reset exam rooms between patients.
• Perform nursing procedures such as suture removal, dressing changes, and other delegated clinical tasks.
• Complete all pathology and laboratory requisition documents accurately.
• Other duties as assigned.
