Hillingdon s Children s Services are rated Outstanding by Ofsted, and this is an exceptional opportunity to join a specialist court team working with vulnerable children and families at the threshold for legal intervention.

The Court Team focuses on delivering high-quality statutory work, intensive intervention, and permanency planning, ensuring safe, sustainable outcomes for children and young people involved in care proceedings.
The RoleAs a Social Worker / Senior Social Worker in the Court Team, you will:
- Undertake statutory child protection and court work, preparing clear, evidence-based assessments and reports.
- Develop, implement, and review robust care plans in line with legal requirements.
- Work intensively with children and families to support positive change and safe parenting.
- Lead on permanency planning to secure long-term outcomes for children.
- Collaborate effectively with legal teams, partner agencies, and internal colleagues to achieve the best outcomes for children and young people.
- For Senior Social Workers: provide leadership and professional guidance to colleagues as part of case planning and practice improvement.
- You will be a motivated and knowledgeable practitioner with:
- A recognised Social Work qualification and current Social Work England registration.
- Post-qualifying experience in children s social work, with relevant experience of statutory work and court processes.
- Strong assessment, analytical, and written communication skills.
- A commitment to relationship-based practice and high standards of professional practice.
- For Senior Social Worker applications: evidence of leadership, complex case management, and the ability to support and mentor colleagues.
