UK & Ireland Demand Planner
Location :
Southampton, office based
Hours : 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday
Salary : £32,000 per annum

Purpose of the jobDemand Management of all Garmin products for forecasting and non-forecasting customers within the UK & Ireland.
Key duties & responsibilities- Manage the forecast by collaborating with the GUK Sales team, order management team and EMEA Demand Planners, to ensure continuity of supply (right product, right time).
- Regular communication with the GUK Head of Sales and Sales team to understand market variances, sales trends, and promotions / deals, which will impact future demand. Ensure any extraordinary activity is reflected in the forecast and communicated to category leads and EMEA Demand Planners.
- Work with the GUK Head of Sales, Sales Team, and Product Management to manage combined channel forecasts, across segments and categories, ensuring the overall forecast is in line with company targets / budget.
- Primary interface between our global / EMEA supply planning teams and the demand requirements of the UK & Ireland region.
- Input into forecast meetings with Senior Managers & Product Managers. Reviewing recommended sales forecast and inventory goals, in line with S&OP targets (emphasis on accuracy, roadmap transitions, NPI, EOL and promotions).
- Monitor sales vs. forecast for all GUK channels, categories, and customers on all products. Challenge over / under sales patterns and suggest / implement forecast changes as required.
- Work with internal departments to ensure correct dating of orders to avoid unnecessary past-due orders, managing customer expectations.
- Co-ordinate inter-office inventory transfers, as required
- Review and highlight excess inventory levels and communicate and explore opportunities with the GUK Sales team, where necessary, reporting back to the EMEA Demand Planning team with any action taken.
- Work with Global Supply Chain on production priorities and requirements and dealing with allocations on arrival of goods.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficient user of Excel
- Strong analytical abilities and attention to detail
- Previous demand planning / forecasting / procurement experience desirable
- Must be flexible and able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Highly motivated self-starter
- Oracle & Demantra experience an advantage
