We are recruiting for an experienced Finishing Foreman to join a leading contractor delivering large‑scale, multi‑unit residential and accommodation projects in the Southampton area. This role is ideal for someone with a deep understanding of internal fit‑out and finishing processes on multi‑unit schemes, with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to delivering high‑quality results.
The Role
You will be responsible for overseeing all internal finishing works across multi‑unit accommodation blocks, ensuring consistent quality, workmanship, and progress. Working closely with Site Management and subcontractor teams, you will drive high standards and help bring projects to completion to the expected specification.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee all internal finishing trades including carpentry, drylining, M&E final fix, painting, flooring, and snagging
Manage and coordinate subcontractors to maintain programme and quality
Conduct detailed snagging and ensure issues are closed out promptly
Maintain clear communication with project and site managers on progress
Ensure works are completed to required specification and building regulations
Monitor health & safety within internal works areas
Support handovers and final inspections across multiple units
Requirements
Strong background as a Finishing Foreman or Internal Works Supervisor
Proven experience on large‑scale multi‑unit accommodation or residential blocks
Exceptional eye for detail in internal fit‑out and finishing processes
Ability to lead, coordinate, and motivate subcontractor teams
Good understanding of build sequences, quality standards, and snagging management
Strong communication and organisational skills
CSCS card essential; SSSTS/First Aid beneficial
