Senior Electronics Design Engineer | High-Performance Robotics & Sensor Systems | Southampton | Hybrid

I’m representing a fast‑growing technology scale‑up based in Southampton that is developing a new generation of advanced robotic technology used in demanding real‑world environments. Their systems combine intelligent sensing, cutting‑edge electronics and sophisticated software to deliver capabilities that are attracting major industry attention.

As the team continues to expand, they’re looking for a Senior Electronics Design Engineer to become the go‑to electronics expert within a small, highly talented engineering group. This is a rare opportunity to take full ownership of the electronics function and have a direct influence on the architecture, design direction and technical strategy of genuinely innovative products.

In this position, you’ll be responsible for end‑to‑end electronics development across a range of complex, ruggedised products. Typical work will involve:

• Working closely with embedded, mechanical and systems engineers
• Leading key design decisions and defining best practices
• Supporting the full lifecycle from concept through to testing and integration

Experience with BMS and/or RF is a bonus but not essential.

• 5+ years of hands‑on electronics design experience
• Strong background in analogue & digital circuits
• Confidence working independently as the sole electronics specialist
• Someone who enjoys technical ownership, problem‑solving and shaping product design

Based in Central Southampton

3 days onsite per week (hybrid)
