Aircraft Maintenance Technician – Avionics / Mechanic Supervisor Pay Range

Base pay: £28,000 per annum. Actual pay will be based on your skills and experience.

Southampton, Office based

40 hours per week, Monday to Friday

To repair, modify, test and release to service a variety of Garmin manufactured avionics products, supporting the Aviation Repair Administrators role and ensuring compliance with ISO 9001 and FAA/CAA Part 145 requirements.

• Repair, modify, adjust, align, test and final release to service Garmin avionics equipment.
• Operate and set up various test equipment.
• Record, analyse and interpret test data.
• Complete technical data on computer‑generated service reports and spreadsheets.
• Communicate accurately and confidently verbally or in writing with product support personnel, colleagues and occasionally customers.
• Access and implement engineering change orders relating to unit repairs/updates.
• Assist with internal and external audits.
• Manage and process inventory under department control.

• City and Guilds electronic repair qualification or equivalent experience.
• Electronic servicing experience.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Functional use of Microsoft Office applications.
• Good time‑management skills to prioritise work when under pressure to prevent unnecessary grounding of aircraft.
