Senior Coastal Engineer at Mott Mac Donald

Southampton, Croydon, Liverpool, Newcastle, Bristol (regional sites with hybrid working)

• Lead specialist and multi‑disciplinary teams through the entire project life‑cycle, from feasibility and economic assessment of coastal processes to detailed design and construction documentation.
• Conduct metocean and hydrodynamic investigations, and develop coastal zoning, offshore renewables and cable routing solutions.
• Prepare tender documents, specifications, BOQs, and construction drawings, and manage the tender process up to contract award.
• Provide project management support, including resourcing, programming, commercial and contractual oversight, risk and quality management.
• Support new business development, drafting proposals and participating in bid submissions to grow the Ports, Coastal and Offshore portfolio.

• Master’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Chartered engineer status (ICE / IStruct
  
  E / CIWEM or equivalent).
• Extensive experience delivering coastal engineering projects with innovative, digitally driven techniques.
• Strong project management background, comfortable leading multidisciplinary teams and liaising with stakeholders.
• Excellent written communication skills – able to produce technical reports and deliver presentations.
• Knowledge of contract types and procurement processes.
• Willingness to travel overseas for project assignments as required.
