Senior Software Developer

Key Responsibilities

• Analyse the routing of EDI messages from mailboxes into CNS Compass
• Collaborate with IT Operations to understand platform behaviour
• Ensure developer tooling is in place for effective integration analysis
• Review and refine existing integration maps for various EDI message types
• Document clear, prioritised mapping specifications based on CNS defined priorities
• Work closely with integration counterparts to ensure alignment with specifications
• Support a smooth transition to Boomi EDI integrations

• IBM B2B Integrator (Sterling B2
  
  Bi):
  Understanding of IBM B2B platform configuration, message routing, and integration flows
• EDI Standards and Formats:
  Strong knowledge of common EDI message types (e.g. EDIFACT) and how they’re structured and processed
• Integration Mapping and Specifications:
  Experience analysing and documenting message transformations, mapping logic, and data flows
• Developer Tooling & Environment Setup:
  Proficiency in setting up local development environments and tooling to support integration and analysis activities
• Boomi:
  Familiarity with working alongside integration teams using Boomi or similar platforms to ensure end-to-end alignment
• Stakeholder
  
  Collaboration:
  
  Strong communication skills to liaise with CNS IT Operations and external integration counterparts effectively
• Documentation & Analysis:
  Ability to produce clear, detailed, and prioritised technical specifications and mapping documents
• XML, JSON:
  Hands‑on experience working with data transformation technologies
• Experience in Logistics, Freight or Supply Chain Environments:
  Helpful for understanding context and message content types

• Eligibility to work in the UK.
• A full valid UK driving licence or appropriate international licence allowing you to drive on UK roads.
• No unspent criminal convictions.
• Due to manufacturing guidelines on equipment and site safety critical health and safety requirements, we have strict weight and medical requirements that need to be met and maintained. For our safety critical roles health and medical and fitness checks are performed. Requirements include, but are not limited to, weight, height, blood pressure and hearing.
