Associate, Clinical Negligence
Location: Southampton (hybrid working arrangements available)
Working pattern: Full time / Part time
Why this role mattersAs an Associate in one of the UK’s leading clinical negligence firms, you’ll help clients achieve justice, accountability and fair compensation for those adversely affected by negligent medical treatment.
What you will doYou’ll become a key part of our specialist clinical negligence team, managing your own cases with the support of experienced colleagues, guiding clients through complex and often emotional situations, and using your expertise to secure answers, accountability and the outcomes they deserve.
- Manage your own caseload of clinical negligence matters, with support from a highly experienced team.
- Handle a broad mix of cases involving misdiagnosis, delayed treatment, surgical errors, birth and maternity injuries and more.
- Guide clients through complex and emotional situations, providing clear legal advice with genuine empathy.
- Work closely with medical experts and colleagues to achieve the best possible outcomes for clients.
- Contribute to a positive team culture where learning, client care and quality work are truly valued.
- 3-5 years PQE or equivalent experience.
- Strong analytical and drafting skills, with the ability to manage evidence-heavy, detail-driven claims.
- A confident communicator who can build trust with clients and explain complex issues simply.
- Empathetic, client‑focused mindset, committed to supporting clients through emotionally challenging cases.
