Commercial Manager – Responsibilities- Lead the commercial team and partner departments, overseeing commercial and contract management across delivery work streams.
- Manage contracts throughout the business, including NEC, JCT and bespoke agreements.
- Drive revenue growth by delivering accurate monthly management reports, accounts and supply chain optimisation.
- Improve operational efficiency by refining manual and digital processes in collaboration with the commercial team.
- Support tender processes for new contracts and frameworks.
- Maintain and strengthen supply chain relationships with suppliers.
- Ensure robust commercial governance and compliance with financial audits.
- Act as a client‑facing representative, engaging with customers to guarantee effective commercial project delivery.
- Qualified in Quantity Surveying to at least NVQ level; a degree qualification is preferred.
- Professional accreditation (e.g. RICS) is desirable.
- Proficient in managing, collating and storing data efficiently to support best commercial practice.
- Strong communication skills with excellent interpersonal and organisational abilities.
- Proven ability to manage and lead staff effectively.
- Self‑motivated and results‑driven, with a proactive approach to implementing change and delivering outcomes.
- High attention to detail combined with exceptional time‑management skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Outlook, Excel and Word.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify issues and deliver effective solutions.
- Experience working with accounting systems and customer service software applications.
