Job DescriptionCarnival UK is searching for a Crew Planning Manager – Maritime, who is crucial in supporting our People direction and nurturing a high‑performing team. As the Manager, you’ll play a pivotal role in ensuring our fleet is staffed with the right talent at the right time. This high‑impact leadership position involves managing complex planning, driving compliance with new policies, influencing cost strategies, leading a dedicated team, and collaborating with senior stakeholders across the business.
Role Overview- Oversee strategic and operational Maritime crew planning, ensuring vessels are resourced with qualified and experienced personnel.
- Drive adherence to updated policies and processes, maintaining consistency and operational compliance across crew planning activities.
- Manage budgets and cost strategies, providing governance and oversight on unplanned events while maintaining team strength.
- Build strong relationships across the business, influencing at senior levels to deliver best‑in‑class crew planning.
- Lead and coach a team, fostering engagement, development, and high performance.
Positioned within our internal structure from CUK
15 (entry level) to CUK1 (Brand President), this role is classified as CUK
07
, offered as a full‑time position on a fixed‑term contract (12–14 months) basis. We offer hybrid work including up to two days from home.
- Proven experience in the maritime sector and understanding of Officer and Rating roles and structures.
- Strong stakeholder management and ability to influence at senior levels.
- Leadership experience managing teams and budgets in a complex operational environment.
- Familiarity with planning systems and data‑driven decision‑making.
- Resilient and adaptable, comfortable with high exposure and operational complexity.
- Collaborate effectively and challenge constructively to drive improvements.
- Demonstrate commercial awareness with a focus on cost control and compliance.
- Motivate and empower teams while role‑modeling cultural values.
