We are looking for a Solution Sales Consultant to drive new business, customer growth, and partner engagement for Cim
50, our manufacturing solution for small to mid‑sized manufacturing businesses.
This role combines consultative sales, pre‑sales demonstrations, customer engagement, and partner support, acting as a key commercial contact for Cim
50. While the role does involve working with partners, it is not a heavy partner‑management position; the focus remains on sales execution, demonstrations, and customer success.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in manufacturing software or operational environments who wants a broad, hands‑on commercial role with clear scope and progression.
Key Responsibilities- Act as the primary point of contact for Cim
50/Sage
50 sales enquiries - Qualify inbound leads and manage opportunities through the sales pipeline
- Run discovery sessions to understand customer requirements and workflows
- Position Cim
50 accurately and honestly against customer needs - Support proposal development and pricing discussions
- Build strong relationships with existing Cim
50 customers - Support renewals, upgrades, and additional requirements
- Identify upsell and cross‑sell opportunities where appropriate
- Act as a commercial liaison alongside support and delivery teams
- Contribute to long‑term customer satisfaction and retention
- Tailor demonstrations to reflect customer manufacturing processes
- Confidently handle functional questions and objections
- Clearly communicate value, efficiency gains, and return on investment
- Support sales activity with selected partners selling Cim
50 - Assist partners with joint demonstrations where required
- Act as a Cim
50 product specialist for partner enquiries - Help partners assess suitability and scope for Cim
50 opportunities - Escalate more complex partner needs appropriately
- Note:
This role supports partners but does not own strategic partner management or complex partner‑led sales cycles.
- Work closely with implementation, support, and product teams
- Ensure smooth handover from sales to implementation
- Feed customer and partner feedback into product discussions
- Contribute to demo content, sales collateral, and internal knowledge
- Experience in B2B software sales, solution sales, or pre‑sales
- Understanding of manufacturing or operational workflows (from software, consulting, or industry experience)
- Strong communication and relationship‑building skills
- Organised and able to manage multiple opportunities
- Experience with Cim
50 Manufacturing or Sage 50 Manufacturing - Experience with manufacturing software (MRP, ERP, stock control, scheduling)
- Exposure to partner‑led sales environments
- Experience working with SME manufacturing businesses
- Familiarity with accounting or commercial systems (particularly Sage 50 Accounts)
- Consultative, pragmatic, and customer‑focused
- Commercially aware without being aggressive
- Approachable and credible with customers and partners
- Willing to learn and build product expertise
- Comfortable balancing direct sales, partner support, and customer care
- A varied, customer‑facing role with genuine responsibility
- Exposure to both direct and partner‑led sales models
