Qualified Social Worker – Children & Families Safeguarding - Southampton - £39ph

• Location: Southampton City Council
• Rate: Up to £39 per hour
• Contract Type: Full-time, Temporary
• Role: Qualified Social Worker – Children's Services

We are looking for Experienced Social Worker to join the Children and Families Safeguarding service on a temporary basis.

This role is suited to a confident practitioner with strong safeguarding experience and a proven ability to manage complex cases, court work, and multi‑agency interventions.

• Manage a safeguarding caseload across Child Protection (Section 47), Child in Need, and Children Looked After
• Undertake statutory assessments and visits in line with legislation and local procedures
• Prepare high-quality assessments and court reports, demonstrating strong analytical skills
• Represent the local authority in court proceedings
• Develop and review SMART plans in partnership with children, families, and multi‑agency professionals
• Work collaboratively to achieve positive outcomes for children and young people
