On offer is an exciting opportunity to join a tight-knit maintenance team, carrying out maintenance on a wide range of mechanical systems with full on-the-job training, giving team members the chance to gain hands-on experience across multiple systems and build a solid foundation in mechanical engineering.

In this practical and engaging position, you'll play a key role in maintaining and troubleshooting mechanical systems, ensuring all equipment operates safely, efficiently, and reliably.

This role offers variety, challenge, and the opportunity to broaden your technical expertise across different mechanical systems while working as part of a supportive team. 45-hour week (Mon-Sun, 5-day rota).

This would suit an Apprentice-Trained Engineer from a mechanical background or similar who's looking for a versatile and varied role with full on-the-job training.

The Role:

Carry out planned and preventative maintenance within a safety-critical environment.
Inspect, diagnose, and repair mechanical systems, using technical drawings and engineering knowledge.
Work to UK standards and safe systems of work, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
Maintain and develop mechanical engineering systems post-apprenticeship, applying experience from previous maintenance roles.
45-hour week - Monday to Sunday, 5-day rota.

The Person :

Apprentice-trained engineer or ONC / Level 3 BTEC qualification.
Strong mechanical background or similar.
Problem-solving mindset with enthusiasm and a "can-do" attitude.
Commutable to Southend-on-Sea.
