Are you a natural leader who has the passion to inspire and motivate others in a fast-paced and dynamic veterinary surgery? Southend on Sea Vets for Pets have an opportunity for a Practice Manager to join them on a temporary basis (9‑12 months). As our Practice Manager, you'll ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the business and support our Practice Owners in achieving key business objectives.

• Overseeing daily operations to ensure seamless service delivery
• Upholding our ethos as the friendliest practice in the area
• Managing and implementing HR policies for a valued team including supporting mental health
• Resolving challenges swiftly to maintain excellent client service
• Recruiting, training, rota and holiday management
• Managing your own schedule to achieve operational goals

• This position would suit an RVN looking to take a step back from a full‑on clinical role into a more management role, or any previous management experience within a veterinary practice would also be advantageous
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate, encourage, and manage the team effectively
• Proven team management experience
• Strong communication, organisational and time‑management skills
• Dedication to building strong relationships with clients and the team

• Full‑time role working 40 hours per week with weekends on a rota basis (to be discussed at interview)
• Fixed‑term contract for 9 to 12 months, to start as soon as possible
