PCB​/Surface Mount Operator

Overview

Experienced PCB/Surface Mount lead required for a company based in the Southend on Sea, Essex area. Temp to permanent.

Experienced PCB/Surface Mount operator required in the Southend on Sea area. This role is temporary with a view to permanent, so you will need to be available to commence work within 1-2 weeks’ notice. As a PCB Operator/Surface Mount operator you will need experience in programming and operating the surface mount machine to produce PCBs.

• To be responsible for ensuring that the Job Card/Specification is interpreted and understood
• To programme the Surface Mount Machine according to the job/specification requirements
• To coordinate with the Quality/Compliance Manager and/or the Quality Technician so that the first new job run can be tested to ensure that it meets requirements/specifications before commencing production
• To ensure that the Surface Mount Machine is running and operating smoothly
• To be responsible for supervising the Surface Mount Department
• To place/fix, using a surface mount machine, component parts onto a PCB
• To continually check and monitor the Surface Mount Machine and ensure that PCBs meet the quality standards required
• To carry out any other duties that may be relevant to the role

• Experience of working with PCBs and component parts
• Ability to understand job cards and job specifications
• Knowledge of surface mount machine techniques
• Excellent attention to detail
• Excellent organisational skills with the ability to work in an ordered/tidy way
• Ability to work at a consistent and even pace
• Ability to prioritise and meet deadlines

Working hours:

Monday to Thursday 8am - 5pm and Fridays 8am-1pm.

£12.50 per hour.
