What you'll do
Store Assistant in Southend – 25 hours per week – 12 month Fixed Term Contract (Maternity cover). We are looking for candidates who live locally and can easily commute to our store.
Our stores are open from 7 AM to 8 PM, so you must be able to manage early starts and late finishes.

This is more than just a store job.
- You’ll be the friendly face of Toolstation, helping customers find what they need.
- You’ll be hands‑on with deliveries, warehouse tasks, and stocking shelves.
- You’ll handle deliveries, unpack stock, keep the store clean, and prepare orders.
- You’ll provide outstanding service to customers, especially during busy times.
- You’ll ask the right questions to understand customers’ projects.
- You’ll be proactive, selling the benefits of Toolstation Club and Trade Accounts.
No retail experience? No problem! All we ask is that you’re committed to delivering excellent service, and we’ll teach you everything else.
