Children with Disabilities (CWD) Advanced Practitioner

Location:

Southend
Pay Rate: £41.50 per hour

Southend Council is seeking a highly skilled Advanced Practitioner to join the Children with Disabilities (CWD) Team.

In this senior role, you will manage complex cases, support the most vulnerable children and families, and mentor less experienced colleagues. You will maintain a safeguarding approach while providing comprehensive casework and preparing detailed reports for court when required.

Role Requirements:

Minimum 3 years' experience as a CWD Social Worker
Must be a car driver with access to a vehicle
Minimum 2 days on site (may vary depending on service needs)

Role Responsibilities:

Managing complex CWD cases
Supporting and mentoring junior staff
Providing professional casework and care planning
Preparing high-quality reports for court proceedings

Essential Requirements:

Social Work Qualification - Degree or equivalent
At least 3 years' experience as a social worker within children's services
Social Work England Registration
Driving licence and access to own vehicle
