Essex Elite Sports Coaching has been dedicated to empowering young people through sport and physical education since 2012. Focused on delivering high-quality and engaging coaching sessions, the organization inspires children aged 2 to 11 to develop and thrive through physical activity. Partnering with schools, nurseries, and community programs, Essex Elite Sports Coaching offers curriculum PE, extracurricular activities, and active‑break sessions that enhance children’s mental, physical, and social well‑being.

With over 210 children coached weekly, the passionate team aims to leave a lasting positive impact on the lives of young athletes and active minds. Based in Southend‑On‑Sea, the company continues to grow its reach and expand its influence across the community.

We are seeking a full‑time Sports Coach to join our team on‑site in Southend‑On‑Sea. The role involves planning and delivering high‑quality physical education lessons, coaching structured sports programs, and organizing engaging extracurricular activities for children aged 2 to 11. You will work collaboratively with schools and other educational institutions, ensuring a fun and inclusive environment that promotes the physical, mental, and social development of all children.

Additional responsibilities include supervising active‑break sessions and assisting with tailored curriculum PE/PPA cover as needed.

Qualifications
  • Proficiency in sports coaching, with experience leading engaging and age‑appropriate sessions for children
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with children, peers, and educational staff
  • Organizational abilities to plan structured development programs and manage schedules
  • Knowledge of physical education curriculum and a passion for child development through sports
  • A formal coaching qualification or equivalent experience in relevant sports or physical education disciplines
  • Enhanced DBS check (Disclosure and Barring Service) or willingness to obtain one
  • First Aid certification and safeguarding training are advantageous
  • Flexibility, enthusiasm, and a commitment to fostering positive experiences for young people
