Class 2 Driver role at GXO Logistics, Inc.
Apply now for the Class 2 Driver role with GXO Logistics. This position involves working as part of the Store‑to‑Home team at B&Q, Southend‑On‑Sea (SS2 4DQ
).
You will work full‑time on a permanent basis with a rotating 2‑week shift pattern:
Week 1 – Monday to Friday;
Week 2 – Sunday to Thursday, starting at 11:00. The role contracts to 40 hours per week.
- Hourly rate of £16.64 (annual salary £34,611.20)
- Overtime pay of £24.96 per hour over 40 hours

- Deliver products to customer premises on multidrop basis (average 16 drops per day in off‑peak, 24 drops in peak season)
- Maintain accurate driving/working time records using the Tachomaster system and manual entries as required by WTD regulations
- Operate company vehicles safely, legally and efficiently
- Ensure all products are checked and customers receive correct delivery documentation
- Communicate estimated delivery times and resolve issues politely and courteously
- Previous experience in multidrop store deliveries preferable but not essential
- Full UK category C driving licence with entitlement
- No more than 6 penalty points on licence (no DD, DR, DG, BA, CD, AC, LC or TT endorsements)
- Up‑to‑date CPC and Digital Tachograph
- Excellent written and verbal customer service skills
- Willingness to undergo pre‑employment DBS check
- Prepared to commute to Southend‑On‑Sea (SS2 4DQ
) for required shift pattern
