The AHP team at Pulse is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Band 6/7 Adult acute Speech & Language Therapist to join our team in Southport. Our centre supports individuals with challenging and complex needs through a neuro-behavioural rehabilitation programme.

• Facilitate therapeutic group sessions to improve speech and communication skills.
• Build rapport with service users to encourage engagement and recovery.
• Manage complex cases using specialist skills, considering cultural and linguistic differences.
• Develop strategies for caseload management.
• Conduct audits and contribute to research to improve treatment.
• Apply knowledge in neuro-behavioural, brain injury, and specialist care.

• HCPC registration.
• Competent to assess, diagnose, and manage dysphagia in adult acute inpatients.
• Strong prioritization skills.
• Dysphagia trained with signed competencies, able to see patients independently.
• Experience with neurological disorders, acute medical diagnoses, chronic respiratory disorders, frailty, and dementia.
