Corporate Tax Assistant Manager/ Manager Spalding Up to £67,000
An established, growing, Top 30 accountancy practice is looking to strengthen its corporate tax function with the addition of a Corporate Tax Assistant Manager or Manager. This is a key hire within a collaborative tax team, offering exposure to a broad range of UK corporate tax advisory and compliance work across a varied client base.
The role would suit a qualified tax professional who enjoys combining technical delivery with client interaction and team development. Depending on experience, you will operate with a high degree of autonomy while working closely with senior stakeholders on both day-to-day client matters and more complex advisory projects.
Role Responsibilities- Deliver UK corporate tax advisory and compliance services across a portfolio of clients.
- Act as a key point of contact for clients, providing clear updates, practical advice and solutions to technical issues.
- Scope assignments, manage budgets and ensure work is delivered efficiently and to a high standard.
- Lead or support advisory projects including R&D tax credits, capital allowances, share schemes, due diligence and corporate restructuring.
- Prepare and review technical reports, providing constructive feedback to team members.
- Support business development activity, including contributing to proposals and tenders.
- Oversee the quality of client deliverables and ensure billing is completed accurately and on time.
- Develop, coach and review junior team members, setting clear objectives and supporting career progression.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues across tax and wider service lines to ensure a joined-up client experience.
- ACA, ACCA, CTA or ATT qualified, with a minimum of two years' post-qualification experience.
- Strong background in UK corporate tax, with exposure to advisory work.
- Confident communicator, comfortable dealing with clients at varying levels.
- Experience of reviewing work and supporting the development of others.
- Well organised with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Commercially aware, with a proactive and solutions-focused approach.
- Comfortable using Microsoft Office and standard tax software.
