IT Automation Engineer – Kubernetes / Open Shift

For our client, a leading IT service provider in Switzerland, we are looking for an IT Automation Engineer specializing in Kubernetes / Open Shift for a permanent position.

• Design and implementation of automated IT processes in the data center.
• Support setup, further development and operation of container orchestration platforms (Kubernetes / Open Shift) in customer projects.
• Act as customer contact, planning and implementing modern container and orchestration architectures.
• Work independently on smaller projects or with the team on larger ones.
• Collaborate closely with experts from other departments.
• Influence department development as we expand.
• Contribute to solution and service design for the company.
• Place customer and added value at the top priority.

• Completed vocational training in computer science or equivalent education.
• Extensive experience in the construction, operation and further development of container and orchestration platforms.
• Practical knowledge of handling containers, deployment pipelines, and orchestration tools.
• Experience in Linux basics, virtualization, monitoring, log analysis, backup and storage solutions, IT process automation.
• Familiar with Python.
• Service‑oriented mindset and teamwork enjoyment.
• Enjoy interaction with customers.
• Interest in education and training and willingness to learn new areas.
• Thinking outside the box inspired.
• Fluent in German and English, spoken and written.
• Can independently implement projects at a high level.
• Category B driving licence and flexible relocation within German‑speaking Switzerland.
