MPI Limited is looking for an Electrical Project Engineer for our client based in St. Albans.

The Company is a manufacturer of low voltage switch gear. The position will be based at the Company premises located in St. Albans, Hertfordshire.

• Control projects from receipt of contract to installation and commissioning.
• Responsibility for all commercial and technical aspects of projects.
• Liaise with clients and their representatives.
• Attend site meetings with clients and their representatives.
• Liaise with suppliers to ascertain suitability of electrical components for particular projects.
• Co‑operate with the Company’s draughting engineers and production team.
• Design electrical control schematic diagrams.

• Experience in the electrical design of LV switch gear and package sub-stations.
• Knowledge of protection relays and power factor correction equipment.
• Experience in the electrical design of control and monitoring systems and electrical schematic diagrams.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD.
• Knowledge of MV switch gear (advantage).
