St Albans (Commutable from Watford, Luton, Hatfield, Hemel Hempstead & surrounding areas)

Are you an experienced engineer ready for a hands-on leadership role managing operations, mentoring a team, and driving performance?

You'll lead maintenance across packaging and manufacturing lines, manage a team of engineers and technicians, implement maintenance strategies, and deliver improvements while ensuring GMP, Health & Safety, and regulatory compliance.

This regulated manufacturer is committed to quality, safety, and continuous improvement. They're seeking a Lead Engineer to strengthen their engineering capability.

In this role, you'll plan and schedule maintenance, manage contractors, oversee preventative and reactive work, maintain compliance records, support CAPA processes, and lead improvement projects alongside Quality, Manufacturing, and Supply Chain teams.

Ideal for an experienced engineer seeking a hands-on leadership position with real impact in a fast-paced, compliant environment.

The Role:

Oversee daily engineering operations and mentor your team.

Deliver maintenance plans and drive continuous improvement.

Uphold GMP, Health & Safety, and regulatory standards.

The Candidate:

Strong mechanical/electrical background in manufacturing and clean room settings

Proven ability to develop and motivate engineering teams

Skilled in maintenance, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement within compliance frameworks.
