About The Position

Spreadex’s Financial Trading Team are looking to recruit an undergraduate for a 13‑month Industrial Placement based in our St Albans office. The program is aimed at students who are completing a four‑year degree and have an industrial placement year incorporated as part of their course.

The placement will support the Financial Trading Team by:

  • Quantifying our risk book exposures.
  • Producing reports on trading performance.
  • Performing critical administrative tasks of the desk.
  • Learning relationship management, trading analysis, trade execution, and networking internally and externally.

Our office is located in St Albans, with a fast and simple commute from London:

  • 20 minutes from London St Pancras/Kings Cross by direct train.
  • Regular services also run from Farringdon, City Thameslink, and Blackfriars.
  • Easy access from the M1, A1(M), and M25.
About You
  • You are a student studying for a four‑year degree with an industrial placement year incorporated as part of your syllabus.
  • You are currently studying a degree in a relevant field, such as finance, economics, business management, mathematics, etc.
  • You have a passion and interest in financial markets, specifically with financial derivative products.
  • You possess high standards, excellent attention to detail, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • You have a quantitative mindset when solving problems.
