In this role, you’ll be supporting individuals through all their residential property matters. From buying or selling a home, remortgaging, managing their portfolio, through to freeing up equity. What you’ll do:

You’ll work with clients at every stage of their life, from those buying their first home to those downsizing to free up capital for their retirement. You’ll also work with property portfolio owners, as well as families who are parting with the home of a loved one. Whatever type of client you are working with, you’ll:

  • Handle all aspects of residential conveyancing transactions for both freehold and leasehold properties, including sales, purchases, remortgages, transfers of equity, new builds and shared ownership.
  • Conduct title checks, reviewing legal documents, and identifying potential issues.
  • Draft and review contracts, leases, and other property‑related documents.
  • Manage correspondence with clients, estate agents, mortgage lenders, and other third parties.
  • Ensure you comply with all relevant regulatory and legal requirements, including Anti‑Money Laundering (AML) and GDPR.
  • Carry out searches, land registry applications, and raise appropriate enquiries.
  • Provide expert legal advice to clients regarding property transactions.
  • Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date case management records.
  • Proactively resolve any issues that may arise during the conveyancing process.
  • Update clients on how their transaction is progressing.
  • Manage client expectations and deliver excellent customer service.
About you:

You are an experienced lawyer (ideally 5+ years post qualification experience) with a strong track record in Residential conveyancing work seeking:

  • Strong technical expertise (preferably gained within a CQS‑accredited firm), combined with excellent analytical and drafting skills.

  • An excellent communicator, both written and oral, capable of building a good rapport with clients and colleagues
  • An aptitude for creating and maintaining strong, collaborative relationships with clients, referrers, and industry partners
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with clients, estate agents, surveyors, and other stakeholders.
