Senior Software Engineer (C#, Azure, Event-Driven Systems)

Army Marketing is hiring a Senior Software Engineer to design, build, and deliver a next-generation event-driven platform in St Albans. The role is hands‑on: build services, solve technical challenges, and shape engineering standards for a platform that processes several million events per day.

• Build scalable, resilient, event‑driven services using C# and Azure.
• Work on distributed systems that support high‑throughput, high‑availability environments.
• Deliver features end‑to‑end with a focus on performance, reliability, and maintainability.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Architects, and Product to refine designs and deliver roadmap goals.
• Contribute to the multi‑year shift towards microservices and cloud‑native architectures.
• Participate in design reviews, pair programming, and code quality initiatives.
• Support improvements to CI/CD, testing practices, and production reliability.

• Solid experience building distributed systems or event‑driven architectures.
• Strong C# and Azure engineering background.
• Understanding of microservices, messaging, and modern architectural patterns.
• Track record of delivering secure, stable software into production.
• Comfort working in a large‑scale transformation environment.
• Willingness to learn, collaborate, and influence engineering best practice.
