Engineering Manager

Our client, a well-established civils and groundworks contractor based in the North West, is seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to join their senior delivery team.

The Role:

Lead and manage site and project engineers across multiple civils and groundworks schemes
Oversee setting-out, quality assurance, and technical compliance
Review drawings, specifications, and methodologies, identifying and resolving technical issues
Ensure engineering standards, procedures, and best practice are maintained across projects
Work closely with Project Managers, Commercial teams, and Directors to support successful project delivery
Manage surveys, temporary works coordination, and subcontract engineering input where required
Mentor and develop junior engineers within the business

About You:

Proven experience in an Engineering Manager or Senior Engineer role within civils and groundworks
Strong technical knowledge of earthworks, drainage, roads, and infrastructure
Experience managing engineering teams on live construction sites
Excellent communication and leadership skills
A proactive, solutions-focused approach to problem solving
Relevant engineering qualifications (HNC/HND/Degree or equivalent)
