Job Role of the Maintenance Engineer A well-established manufacturing business in Telford is recruiting a Maintenance Engineer to join its engineering team. With continued investment in machinery, tooling and site improvements, this is a great opportunity for a multi-skilled engineer looking for a varied role within a busy production environment. Unlike many maintenance positions, this role is heavily focused on planned preventative maintenance, with approximately 80% of the workload dedicated to PPMs.

You'll work across a diverse range of production equipment and plant systems, carrying out electrical and mechanical maintenance, supporting breakdowns when required and contributing to machinery upgrades and continuous improvement projects. Sector – Manufacturing Non-Negotiable Requirements of the Maintenance Engineer Level 3 engineering qualification. Multi-skilled maintenance experience with an electrical bias. Manufacturing or forces background. Requirements for the Maintenance Engineer Strong electrical fault-finding skills.

Experience carrying out planned preventative maintenance. Electrical and Mechanical maintenance and fault-finding experience. Experience completing reactive breakdown repairs. Able to work independently and make decisions when required.

Desirable Requirements for the Maintenance Engineer

Experience with in a high-volume or process manufacturing environment. Experience working on automated production machinery. Knowledge of material handling and pneumatic systems. Experience supporting machinery installations or improvement projects. Apprenticeship background. The Maintenance Engineer will benefit from:
