Manufacturing ​/ Production Technician, Maintenance Technician ​/ Mechanic

Location: Haydock

Technician Middlewich £14.00 per hour 2x Shift (Earlies/Lates) 6am - 2pm / 2pm - 10pm gap technical are proud to be representing this manufacturing business in their search for an Assistant Engineer / Technician to work at their facility based near Middlewich Performance Objectives The Assistant Engineer will provide both proactive and reactive support for all automated systems on site.

You'll be working in a fast-paced environment where your efforts directly impact operational performance, equipment availability, and site productivity. Respond to conveyor system jams and stoppages Reset emergency stop buttons as required Log issues and complete maintenance records using computerised systems Always promote and maintain safe working practices, escalating H&S concerns as needed Support continuous improvement initiatives by reporting recurring issues and suggesting solutions Ensure high availability of equipment to support warehouse operations Conduct routine cleaning of automation equipment in line with hygiene standards Person Specification Basic qualifications & computer literacy.

Good level of communication. Understanding of safe systems of work.

Experience with conveyor systems

Experience of planned preventative maintenance programmes.

Experience with MHE (Material Handling Equipment)/Automation systems and their technical components.
