About the Opportunity
Certain Advantage is partnered with a leading engineering client to recruit a driven and organised Project Manager to oversee the end-to-end delivery of large-scale engineering projects.
This is a hands-on, site-based role where you will be fully accountable for a portfolio of projects, driving their success from initial scoping and financial planning through to final installation, testing, and client handover. If you have a proven track record in technical project delivery and thrive in a forward-thinking, collaborative environment, we want to hear from you!
What You'll Be Doing:
As the Project Manager, you will be the central figure coordinating all project phases:
End-to-End Accountability:
Assume full responsibility for project success, ensuring delivery meets defined objectives, budget, and schedule.
Project Governance:
Establish, track, and manage budgets, schedules, and resource plans to achieve all critical milestones.
Design & Technical Coordination:
Work closely with the Design Manager to ensure technical specifications are aligned with detailed client needs and project requirements.
Stakeholder Management:
Serve as the primary client liaison, fostering strong relationships and maintaining regular, professional communication.
Manufacturing Oversight:
Collaborate directly with the Production Manager to monitor manufacturing progress, resolve production challenges, and ensure quality control.
Documentation & Compliance:
Produce and maintain essential project documentation, including Installation Plans, Method Statements, Risk Assessments, O&M Manuals, and Test Certificates.
Communication:
Create and deliver clear presentations of technical content to both internal and external stakeholders, supported by applications engineers.
What You'll Bring:
We are looking for an organised and adaptable individual who can confidently lead cross-disciplinary teams.
Proven Project Management Success:
Demonstrated experience managing projects, ideally within the engineering, construction, or technical manufacturing sectors.
Leadership & Communication:
Excellent communication and leadership capabilities, with prior experience successfully leading cross-disciplinary teams (Design, Production, Installation).
Technical Familiarity: A solid working understanding of the engineering environment (mechanical/electrical exposure is highly beneficial).
IT Proficiency:
Strong IT proficiency, including MS Project, Word, Excel, Outlook, and SAP. Working knowledge of AutoCAD is a bonus.
