Funeral Director

Location: Saint Leonards-on-Sea

I’ve partnered with a respected family run Undertakers which is looking for a new Funeral Director to join its close-knit team. This role is more than just arranging funerals. It’s about guiding families through one of life’s most difficult moments with empathy, professionalism, and care. You’ll be responsible for managing funerals, supported by a team who know the value of dignity and detail.

You don’t need to have worked in funeral care before. In fact, they welcome people from diverse backgrounds — if you’ve worked with people, managed logistics, and handled sensitive situations, you might be exactly who they need.

* Strong organisational skills and attention to detail

* A natural communicator who can support families and liaise with professionals

* Willingness to learn and grow with an expanding local company

What You’ll Do

* Arrange and conduct funerals with care and professionalism

* Liaise with families, medical staff, clergy, crematoria, and cemetery teams

* Maintain accurate records and coordinate logistics

* Participate in out-of-hours rota and support removals when needed

* Contribute to the smooth running of the branch
