We are looking for a CNC Turner Setter / Operator to join us at the Kurt J. Lesker Company at our European headquarters based in St Leonards, East Sussex. If you’re passionate about CNC machining, experienced in both CNC and manual turning operations, and eager to advance your career with a company that champions excellence and collaboration — we’d love to hear from you.

The fixed working pattern for this position is Monday – Thursday 08.00am – 5.00pm and Friday 08.00am – 14.30pm.

• You are experienced in setting work pieces and running direct and remote programs on both horizontal and vertical CNC Turning Machines.
• You're skilled in operating lathes and performing manual turning, demonstrating experience in traditional machining techniques and precision metalworking.
• Knowledge of vacuum technology industry (preferred not required).
• Have a positive attitude and maintain professional, high-quality working relationships with all members of the company globally.
• Ability to read detailed technical mechanical drawings.
• Happy to maintain and promote a safe and clean work environment.

• Proven machining experience on CNC equipment (lathes).
• Extensive knowledge of machine functions (G code, M code, offsets, etc…).
• ONC / HNC (Mechanical, Manufacturing Technology or Industrial Technology) or equivalent experience in a related field.
• Delcam or Master Cam programming experience.
• Lean manufacturing background.
