Principal Engineer Contract EC&I Staffordshire Outside IR35 Role:
Principal Engineer (Electrical Control & Instrumentation - EC&I)

Location:

Hybrid Stafford office (3 days/week) & remote (2 days/week). Commutable from Stoke, Stafford, Cannock, Lichfield, Telford, Uttoxeter, Stone. Occasional customer site visits. Contract Duration: 6-month contract IR35 Status:
Outside IR35 Day Rate: £500 - £585 per day Clearance:
Must hold a British passport (no dual nationality accepted) and be eligible for SC Security Clearance.

The Role We are seeking an experienced

Principal Engineeror Lead Engineer to manage and lead project teams, delivering essential Electrical Control & Instrumentation (EC&I) systems within the nuclear defence sector. This crucial contract role (Outside IR35) requires a professional with robust leadership skills to initiate, oversee, and lead all engineering activities across assigned projects. You will act as the primary point of contact for high-level stakeholder engagement and management. Key aspects of the Principal Engineer role include Project Leadership:

Taking full charge of and leading project teams delivering electrical control systems, industrial software, and electrical safety systems. Engineering Oversight:

Overseeing team activities, providing guidance and overcoming complex problems to ensure project success. Quality & Standards:

Principal Engineer will have demonstrable knowledge of working toISO 9001 standards Successful Principal Engineer must be aBritish passport holderand have lived in the UK for at least the last 5 years.

Dual nationality cannot be accepted due to specific security requirements. Current

SC level security clearance would be a significant advantage but isnt essential, as full clearance will be processed for the successful Principal Engineer
