Quantity Surveyor

PSR Solutions are working with a market leading client within the Civil Engineering Sector to recruit a Quantity Surveyor to Join their Commercial team on a permanent basis. This role require working across Staffordshire, Cheshire and North West and will involve working within Residential groundworks Projects.

• Perform the closeout process, ensuring all contract terms are met and payments are verified.
• Work with the project team to evaluate the impact of budget changes.
• Ensuring all commercial accountabilities are undertaken in a timely manner, with a high degree of accuracy and measure.
• Preparing and reviewing tenders with estimators and assisting with understanding the client's requirements to offer value engineering.
• Review and validate weekly cost monitors, comparing forecasted costs with actual costs.
• Forecasting monthly and annual profit figures ensuring figures are maintained throughout the lifetime of the project.
• Allocating work to sub-contractors including assistance with procurement when required.
• Undertake site visits to administer the contract in line with project progress.

• BSc in Quantity Surveying or similar commercial related course
• Highly computer literate including Microsoft Office and confident in managing and working with large data sets
• Residential Groundworks background Ideally
• Professional membership of appropriate body
• Good data interrogation skills
• Bid Knowledge
• Excellent legal/contractual knowledge
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills
• Valid driving licence

• Salary - £40,000 - £60,000 DOE
• Based in Staffordshire, Cheshire and North West
