Finance Cashier

Position within the Finance Department at Newcastle and Stafford Colleges Group (NSCG). Join a dynamic team supporting the financial operations of a leading further education provider.

Pay and Work Hours

Location: Stafford College

Employment type: Permanent – 12 hours per week

Salary: £25,322 pro rata (£8,212 actual per annum)

Responsibilities
  • Act as a contributing member of the finance team.
  • Reconcile cash, smart cards and PDQ payments.
  • Prepare daily banking records and all associated documentation.
  • Ensure cash is deposited promptly and no unnecessary cash is held on site.
  • Administer the petty cash process, monitor cash floats, and ensure compliance with cash handling procedures.
Required Skills and Experience
  • Previous experience in a finance environment with cash handling.
  • Attention to detail with high accuracy.
  • Ability to organise workload and meet tight deadlines.
  • Excellent communication skills.
