Plumber – Amey

On‑site role at HMYOI Drake Hall, supporting His Majesty’s Prison and Probation Service (HMPPS) across 60 secure premises in England and Wales.

Standard hours: 39 hours per week, Monday‑Friday.

• Ensure Health & Safety standards are met across the contract.
• Perform statutory works on time, ensuring compliance.
• Conduct routine and non‑routine maintenance, including fault finding and repairs.
• Repair mains water supply and address life‑expired equipment.
• Inspect, sample water, and assess risks to maintain system integrity.
• Monitor the BMS system to ensure optimal performance.
• Support zero‑carbon initiatives, contributing to sustainability goals.
• Handle additional tasks as directed by the line manager, including working at height and in various weather conditions.

• Appropriate trade qualification – NVQ Level 2/3 in Plumbing and Heating.
• Experience in operating light plant.
• Legionella Control (L8) experience and a commercial environment background are desirable.

Prison Security Clearance required – Amey will support you through the process.
