Title : Supply Planner

Location : Staffordshire (4 days on-site)

Contract Length : 6 Months

Pay Rate : £15.12 per hour (PAYE) / £20.52 per hour (Umbrella)

Clearance : BPSS

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Supply Planner to join our team in Stafford. You will be responsible for planning and delivering achievable production plans to ensure customer requirements are met in line with contractual obligations, while considering technical and resource constraints.

Key Responsibilities
  • Attend Master Production Schedule (MPS) meetings to develop achievable production plans aligned with customer needs
  • Work closely with Production Team Leaders to revise plans as required
  • Continuously monitor production progress against plans
  • Escalate risks to delivery through weekly MPS meetings where plans cannot be met
  • Liaise with commercial teams and communicate any delivery-impacting issues
  • Use the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system to:
  • Make Availability to Promise (ATP) decisions
  • Generate, re-plan, deliver, or cancel production orders in line with procedures
  • Support item creation through task routings, forecasting, re-planning, and surplus order removal
  • Ensure no orders sit in the past and forecasts align with actual demand
  • Contribute to improving team standards, efficiency, and best practice
  • Provide ad hoc support to the line manager as required
  • Adhere to Health and Safety legislation, risk assessments, and all relevant business processes
Essential Experience and Skills
  • Planning experience within an industrial or manufacturing environment
  • Strong understanding of ERP / MRP systems
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel for reporting
  • Understanding of Bills of Materials (BOMs) and routing within planning systems
  • Awareness of technical, equipment, and spares-related production challenges
