Location:
Stamford, CT (Hybrid)

Salary: $175,000 – 205,000 +Bonus

Excellent opportunity for an experienced engineer who wants to do more than maintain existing systems. You'll have the freedom to build new applications, introduce modern technologies, and help shape a growing Data & AI practice.

The company has recently established a new Data & AI Office and is looking for a talented engineer who enjoys building applications, solving complex business problems, and working with modern cloud and AI technologies.

This is an opportunity to help build a new technology environment from the ground up, work directly with senior leadership, and play an important role in the company's long-term technology strategy.

What You'll Be Doing

• Design, develop, and deploy full-stack web applications using Microsoft Azure.
• Develop back-end services and REST APIs using Python and/or C#/.NET.
• Design and optimize SQL Server/Azure SQL databases, including complex queries, stored procedures, and data integrations.
• Build AI-powered applications and automation solutions using LLMs, Claude, and other AI technologies.
• Use AI-assisted coding tools such as Claude Code, Git Hub Copilot, or similar technologies to accelerate development.
• Work directly with business leaders to develop applications that improve operations, reporting, and decision-making.
• Take ownership of projects from initial design through production deployment.

Required Experience

• 10+ years of professional software development or data engineering experience with a strong record of building production applications.
• Strong hands-on experience developing and deploying applications in Microsoft Azure
  .
• Advanced SQL Server/Azure SQL skills, including database design, query optimization, and stored procedures.
• Experience developing REST APIs and integrating applications with databases and external services.
• Practical experience using Claude Code, Git Hub Copilot, or similar AI-assisted development tools
  .
• Experience integrating LLMs or AI capabilities into business applications.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to independently design, develop, and deliver solutions.

Additional Experience That Would Be Valuable

• Azure Functions, App Service, Container Apps, and Entra .
• AI agents, RAG, prompt engineering, and LLM API integrations.
• Power BI, ETL/data pipelines, and Azure Data Factory or Microsoft Fabric.
• CI/CD, Git Hub Actions, or Azure Dev Ops.
• Financial services, banking, or another regulated industry.
