URGENT REQUIREMENT Hybrid role Car allowance Annual bonus We are delighted to be recruiting on behalf of a leading UK timber frame manufacturer and installer who are expanding their commercial team in Witney. This is an excellent opportunity for an Assistant QS ready to step up, or a QS seeking more ownership and development within a modern, forward-thinking business. The position focuses solely on the timber frame package not the full build.

Therefore, strong QS fundamentals and sound commercial judgement are essential. Job Spec You will be responsible for managing the commercial and financial performance of multiple timber frame projects, working within a supportive and collaborative commercial department. Projects range from single plots to large multi-unit housing developments, typically 1520 live schemes at varying stages. This is an office-based role with occasional site visits, working closely with clients, internal teams, and subcontractors.

The company operates hybrid working with three days in the office. Key duties Manage commercial delivery of the timber frame element across multiple projects Review customer orders, contracts and terms & conditions Prepare applications for payment, valuations and variations Produce monthly CVRs and accurate cost reporting Oversee subcontractor procurement, tendering and negotiation Assist with contract compliance, risk management and commercial controls Liaise with clients, site teams and internal manufacturing/installation teams Work within the companys IFS cloud-based commercial system (full training provided) Pay & Package £40,000 £ 55,000 DOE Company car or car allowance Annual bonus scheme Hybrid working (3 office / 2 home) On-site parking  EV chargers Office positioned directly off the A40 for easy access Essential requirements 23 years experience as an Assistant QS or QS Strong understanding of core QS principles: cost control, reporting, variations, contracts Background with subcontractors, groundworks, house builders or similar Confident communicator with good commercial awareness Timber frame experience is desirable but not essential Benefits Comprehensive 12-week induction, including exposure to all key departments Structured commercial development programme (14 modules) Monthly 11 support for junior QS progression Access to the GLASS learning platform (142 online lessons) Supportive, sociable team culture with monthly lunches and regular team activities Clear progression pathway If you are interested, don't hesitate to apply online
