Site Manager

Elvet Recruitment are recruiting a Site Manager on behalf of a Civils Subcontractor to work on various projects across the North East

The role itself would see the successful applicant leading multiple small sites, or one large site across the County Durham/Northumberland areas.

Duties/Responsibilities:

* Set a personal example in health, safety and environmental matters by ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures through method statements, risk assessments and briefings.

* Manage, supervise and mentor section, site and assistant engineers to ensure high levels of engineering control and generation of appropriate records.

* Maintain good working relationship with staff and supply chain.

* Adopt and promote a cost-conscious attitude through efficient use of company resources.

* Provide support as required in operating the cost management system, the production of programmes and QF preparation.

* Communicate with commercial staff to ensure all records for measurement and payment purposes are prepared promptly, in appropriate form.

* Communicate with general foreman to ensure adequate work preparation and resources availability.

* Assist as required to procure necessary materials, sub-contracts and plant in sufficient time.

Experience

Required:

* Candidates should have proven experience as a Site Manager

* Experience working on Civils schemes up to circa £5 million value

* Minimum qualification of HNC/HND, however a construction related degree is preferred

* SMSTS, CSCS, First Aid and Full Driver’s License.

Remuneration:

A salary of up to £50,000 (dependant upon experience) plus car or car allowance
