Deliver high standards of customer service to commercial and DIY customers, providing project assistance through identifying automotive problems and making appropriate recommendationsSource parts from stores, hubs, distribution centers, and external suppliers for special orders, building and maintaining a network of secondary source suppliersMaintain showroom displays, work areas, and customer-facing spaces to ensure a clean, organized, and professional environment that meets store operational standardsResponsible for daily inventory management, including checking for discrepancies, putting away stock and processing returns, as well as supporting cycle count and the annual inventory process.Perform specialty tasks such as mixing paint, operating the hydraulic hose maker, battery testing and wiper installationsPartner with Store Manager to coordinate delivery drivers, ensuring delivery standards are achievedSafely and efficiently deliver parts to commercial customers using company vehicles when requiredCarry out key holder responsibilities (store opening and closing duties and contributing to a safe work environment) and completion of other ad hoc duties as assigned by Store ManagerWhat you bring to the team:
High school diploma or GED; trade experience is an asset.2–3 years of automotive sales experience with proven professional customer service and sales performance to achieve personal and store sales goalsAdvanced automotive system knowledge, parts knowledge, experience with POS and can provide advanced automotive problem resolution including identification and project assistance for customersIn-depth knowledge of store operations and general knowledge of the store inventory and maintenance processesAbility to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, parts catalogs, and procedure manualsDemonstrates clear written and verbal communication skillsAbility to perform basic mathematics with accuracyEffective communication in English (French is a plus); bilingual preferred where applicableAbility to lift and/or move up to 50 lbs frequently and up to 100 lbs occasionallyFull valid driver’s license, maintain a clean driving record and have strong driving and navigation abilityAvailable to work an assortment of days, evenings, weekends and holidays as neededPhysical Demands:The details described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job, with or without reasonable accommodation.
