Electronic Systems Team Lead
Cube Space is seeking an experienced Electronic Systems Team Lead to oversee the design, development, and integration of embedded hardware systems for the Space and Ground Segments, as well as other applications as required. This senior role combines technical expertise in electronics, embedded systems, and microprocessor technologies with leadership responsibilities, including scoping engineering work, managing requirements, guiding design and development, and overseeing verification and documentation.
As Team Lead, you will mentor and coordinate a team of engineers, ensure adherence to product lifecycle and project management processes, drive milestone gate reviews, troubleshoot complex hardware systems, and guarantee that all solutions meet Cube Space’s high standards for performance, reliability, and space qualification. You will also contribute to continuous improvement of engineering practices, tools, and reusable IP, while collaborating with cross‑functional teams to deliver mission‑critical space systems.

Responsibilities (Electronics Engineer)
- Design, develop, integrate, and verify embedded hardware systems according to lifecycle and engineering standards.
- Develop and maintain technical deliverables, documentation, and verification plans.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams and stakeholders to ensure system compliance and traceability.
- Execute testing, analysis, and troubleshooting of hardware and embedded systems.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of engineering standards, reusable IP, and tools.
- B‑Tech / BEng / or higher in Electronics, Mechatronics, or related field.
- 7‑10 years’ experience in embedded hardware system design and development.
- Strong understanding of digital electronics, microprocessors, and embedded systems.
- Proficient with schematic capture and PCB layout tools.
- Knowledge of programming languages: C, C++, Assembly.
- Familiarity with communication protocols: SPI, I2C, UART.
- Experience with test and measurement equipment such as oscilloscopes and logic analysers.
- Excellent problem‑solving, analytical, communication, and collaboration skills.
- Experience working in a regulated industry (aerospace industry advantageous).
- Experience in leadership, mentorship, or technical lead roles (advantageous).
- Strong understanding of engineering lifecycle processes, configuration management, and design standards.
- Experience in aerospace, embedded systems, or high‑reliability engineering (beneficial).
