Accountant, Tax Accountant

Position: Accountant – 5398

We have an exciting opportunity within a prestigious Accountancy Practice for an Accountant, to be based in their Stevenage Office.

They are looking to recruit an exceptional part qualified/qualified motivated and ambitious accountancy professional that will be integral to the continued growth of our business.

The ideal candidate will have the following experience:

• Minimum of 3 years in UK general practice

• Accounts preparation for Ltd Companies, Sole Traders and Partnerships

• Corporation, Personal and Partnership tax compliance

• Cloud accounting

• Interacting with a variety of clients.

Key Roles and Responsibilities:

• Accounts preparation and/or file reviews.

• Finalisation of accounts and CT Returns

• Preparing/reviewing Self-Assessment tax returns and submission to HMRC.

• Review and/or submission of VAT Returns

• Meeting and taking on board new clients

• Develop excellent relationships with clients

• Ongoing client support and dealing with client queries

• Liaise between clients and HMRC on queries

Knowledge and understanding of:

• Payroll, auto-enrolment & CIS

• Contract Revisions - Ability to Identify Bad client or non-profit making client

• Good knowledge of Money Laundering

• Good knowledge of latest legislation

Preferred but not Mandatory (Full training and support to be provided):

• Client Tax Review Meetings

• Management Accounts

• Supervising staff and work flow

• Introductions for Value Added Services

Practical knowledge of Xero, Quickbooks, Tax Calc and Bright Manager is desirable but not essential as training can be provided
