Job Description

To work for the employer as an employee to serve the employer’s customers through servicing and repair of their vehicles. As well as his / her duties as an employee, the apprentice shall also learn the trade and skills of a Vehicle Mechanic / Fitter for the maintenance of vehicles.

• Working on vehicle interiors, exteriors, engines and engine components.
• Examination of vehicle and machine systems.
• Periodic servicing of vehicle and machines.
• Replacement and replenishment of components and units.
• Identification and repair of faults in vehicles, machine components and systems.
• Implementation of diagnostic tests.
• Evaluate information and data interpretation of technical information.
• Correct use of tools and equipment.
• Maintain personal, public and workplace cleanliness to protect against all hazards to themselves and all others.
• To maintain and develop relations with customers and clients.
• Work with learning provider to ensure training levels are achieved, this will also involve remote learning.
• To work within the requirements of the Health and Safety at Work Act.
• Compliance to the Company’s Health and Safety Policy.
• Any other work as required by Management, which is commensurate with the responsibilities of the post.

• Timely and accurate completion of all training and college work.
