Commercial Contracts Manager – Permanent

We are partnering with a leading high‑technology organisation to recruit a Commercial Contracts Manager. This is a critical role within the business, offering the opportunity to contribute directly to strategic objectives and make a tangible impact.

• Lead the negotiation of commercial contracts, ensuring alignment with organisational objectives and full contractual compliance.
• Manage the complete Route to Contract, including the bidding process, proposal generation, and contract negotiations, while maintaining business viability.
• Oversee contract delivery, including amendments, reviewing deliverables, and agreeing acceptance criteria.
• Manage contracts throughout their lifecycle, including amendments, renewals, and close‑out processes.
• Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards, including ITAR, EAR, FAR/DFARS.
• Identify and mitigate contract‑related risks in collaboration with cross‑functional teams.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for contractual matters, liaising with internal stakeholders and external partners.
• Provide regular reporting to senior management on contract status, risks, and significant issues.
• Manage and resolve contract disputes in collaboration with legal and other departments.

• Proven commercial experience within a defence or high‑technology environment.
• Demonstrated ability to draft, negotiate, and agree contracts and agreements.
• Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
• Ability to manage multiple contracts in a fast‑paced environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective cross‑functional collaboration.
• Familiarity with MoD contracting structures, including DEFCONs and QDCs, is preferred.

This role is based in Stevenage.
