I have a great opportunity for an Assistant Estimator to join a Main Contractor that specialise in interior fit-out projects, on a permanent bases, working from their offices in Stevenage, Herts.

The company are a high-end D&B contractor that carry out interior fit-out and refurbishment projects across multiple sectors including healthcare, commercial offices and residential, between £100,000 – £5m in value.

They currently have a lot of projects ongoing and many in the pipeline; they are a growing business and are looking to bring in an Assistant Estimator to support the commercial team. They are looking for someone that has a couple of years’ experience under their belt that is eager to learn, develop and progress within the business.

Experience:

• Ideally Degree Qualified or nearing the end of a Degree in a relevant discipline (not essential)
• Experience working in the construction industry for a reputable Main Contractor
• Career focused; keen to learn, develop and progress
• Have reasonable knowledge of all elements of construction
• Good commercial awareness
• Ability to work as part of a team
• Good communication skills, both written and verbal
• Proficiency using office IT applications such as Microsoft Excel and Word or equivalent software
• Be punctual and have good timekeeping
• Can take instruction and effectively carry out tasks
• Ability to multitask and when necessary work on various projects
• Strong attention to detail
• Able to commute to Stevenage, Herts, on a daily basis
