Location: Bristol or Stevenage, UK – Hybrid (3‑5 days on‑site depending on workload)

Join a leading defence technology organisation as a System Architect, contributing to the development of advanced Mission Planning & Control capabilities for critical weapon systems used across the UK and international partners. This is a hands‑on role where you’ll shape architectural artefacts, guide fellow architects, and influence the design of multiple products to maximise modularity and re‑use.

• Lead the generation and maintenance of architectural artefacts for the Mission Planning & Control product line.
• Collaborate with multi‑skilled teams to deliver complex systems solutions on time, on cost, and to quality standards.
• Apply MBSE practices in a practical, product‑focused environment.
• Influence design decisions across the programme and support the wider architecture team.

• Proven experience in complex systems architecture and MBSE in relevant defence or aerospace environments.
• Familiarity with architectural principles in product line environments is advantageous.
• Proficiency in Rhapsody & SysML, and IBM Engineering Workflow Management (essential); experience with DOORS Next Generation is desirable.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead, influence, and coordinate across teams.
• Capable of leading small to medium work packages autonomously and solving highly complex problems efficiently.
